2. Clean
3. Wax
In your free cleaning kit you will find all the products required to keep your beloved boots looking good.
Each cleaning kit consist of:
• Premium Leather Wax Cream
• Gloves
• Cloth
• Waxing brush
* (Spare heel x 2)
Preparation
Before you begin to clean your boots it is important that you prepare somewhere clean and tidy. We suggest you lay down some newspaper and use the gloves provided. Then stuff clean white paper in to the front of the boot to help keep the shape. (Newspaper may leave ink marks on the inside.)
Cleaning
Use any damp cloth or sponge to remove stubborn dried-on dirt. Be careful not to soak the boot.
Wax cream (Not for suede)
If boots are worn often, you should apply wax at least once a month. Spread a small amount of the wax cream on to the cloth and apply a thin even layer to the surface of the boot. Allow the cream to settle for 10 minutes and then use the brush to buff to original state.
Leave the boots to dry naturally at room temperature for 30 minutes or so. Then place them in the boot bag and store in the wooden box provided until use.
Mark’s boot Care Tips
1. Even boots that fit perfectly can cause blisters when new. To alleviate this problem rub a little bit of soap on the inside of the heel. This will reduce the friction and allow the boot to mold to the shape of your heel in comfort.
2. If you’re in a hurry to dry your boots, try stuffing them with tissue paper and leave to dry at room temperature.
3. This should never happen with one of our boots but in the rare event that your zip does become stuck, run a led pencil down the center of the zip and it should work like new.
4. It’s always best to store your boots in the dust bag provided or on a shelf where they will be free from dust.
5. If the ends of your laces (aglets) become frayed or cracked, dip them in nail vanish and give them a quick pinch to create a point.
